Where do I belong?
Do I have a home?
What color are my
eyes? What color
is my hair?
Do I even
have hair?
What type of
color clothes
do I wear?
Am I a boy or a girl?
I’m not sure, you tell
me. Or can you? ’Cause
I’m not even sure if
I exist.

Why do you like to write poetry?
Savion Harris: “I like to write poetry because it gives the reader something to think about. I write not to give the reader my opinion, but to fit their opinion in, and they can take it for themselves. It is not for me to tell what the meaning is. My poems are meant to give meaning to each individual reader, for the mind of a reader is wondrous.”
