Jackie Fox: “I write poetry not because I want to, but because I have to. When something won’t leave me alone, it usually turns into a poem, even if it takes years. ‘Autobiography’ kept bumping around in my head and wouldn’t go away. I almost didn’t name it ‘Autobiography’ because I never share those things with people, and my husband was shocked when I recited it for him. He said, ‘Well, you’re out there now.’ I guess you could say Rattle is my coming-out party.” (website)
