is quiet.
It just sits there
at the end
of the word.
Semi-Colon
It’s not fair
that we can’t use them
in first grade
Mushrooms
Smooth tops
Mice hide
underneath them:
umbrellas to keep
out the rain

Swims in icky swamps;
it opens its jaws
and chomps
