Why do you like to write poetry?
“The reason I like to write poetry is because I feel free when I do it. I feel like I can just plop my pencil on my paper and let it flow across the page and I will come up with a perfect poem. Well of course I will have to look at it again and make a few changes but that is how I feel when I write poetry. Another reason I like to write poetry is because I can think of my day or a previous one and try to come up with a poem that will explain my day in a fun way. That’s what I did with my poem ‘My Kitty.’”
