THE DREAM OF FLIGHT
From the mountaintop I watch
as humans come, go, and fall
As they scramble to be lifted up in the air
Oh how they want my gift
to float with the clouds in the sky
Oh how they try and try
But they cannot fully touch the sky
They build their things
their contraptions, their metals
but they will never achieve the true gift
the power of flight
to become one with the sky
Though they might never truly take flight
their dream lives on and
flies

Why do you like to write poetry?
Michael Wang: “I like to write poetry because it allows the ability to write complex things simply, and the simplicity of it makes it more complex.”
